N’Harmony and Roy Webb (Kennesaw, GA)

I was delighted to attend a concert at Shiloh Hills Baptist church to hear N’Harmony, Roy Webb and the First Mountain City Quartet (a local group from Jasper, GA).  The concert was in part a fundraiser for the youth of the church and included a very nice dinner.   Because of the dinner, the concert was not held in the worship center and the space was very, very tight and the sound and lighting were not as good as I would have liked.  Having said all of that, however, I enjoyed the singing and playing that evening.

Roy Webb was his usually funny and talented self!  I’ve been able to attend several of his concerts and they are always as entertaining as you would expect.  He played some of my favorites like The Old Rugged Cross, It Is Well With My Soul, You Raise Me Up,  Old Time Religion (with the William Tell Overture!), Just a Little Talk with Jesus, and You Raise Me Up and interlaced his comedy and even some serious thoughts along the way.  I got a few videos that evening but none of them were as good as the ones I already have on youtube, so here are a few links you can check out from previous performances:

N’Harmony members Brent Mitchell, Josh Feemster, Shane Dunlap and Will Van WynGarden entertained us with quite a long set for a multi-artist concert – and I was so glad!!   Roy joined them on a few of their songs and they even took a few requests from the audience.   This is a strong group and I sure wish I could see them more often.   As I mentioned before, the sound and lighting were just not good in the room so the videos I got aren’t as good as the ones I have already posted, so some of the links below are from previous concerts.

  • Plan of Salvation
  • Step Into the Water – This was one of my favorites of the evening.  Bass Will Van WynGarden really shines on his solo portions.  Here is a video from a prior performance.
  • Old Time Religion
  • The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power
  • Run On For a Long Time
  • It Is Well With My Soul – Josh did a great job (as usual) on this song but I don’t think I’ll ever get a better video than the one from last May that you can view here.
  • I’m Glad I Know the Lord
  • Somebody Touched Me
  • The Devil Tried His Best
  • He Loves Me
  • Beulah Land
  • When He Was On the Cross, I Was On His Mind. This was one of the audience requests and features tenor Brent Mitchell.
  • Had It Not Been I’ve always enjoyed the way Shane sings this one!
  • Out of the Blue
  • One Fine Day
  • Midnight Cry
