I was able to attend one of the first performances of Greater Vision with returning member Chris Allman. I really enjoyed the group when Jason Waldroup and then Jacob Kitson were a part of the group, but I had never seen Chris. The concert was one of the Mull singings and was held at the [...]

At the time of the writing of this post, Jacob Kitson isn’t gone yet, but this is his last weekend with Greater Vision before he leaves to pursue an evangelism and music ministry. I have enjoyed watching Jacob with both Tribute Quartet and Greater Vision and will miss seeing him in that capacity. I look [...]

I had the opportunity to see Greater Vision at Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The trio doesn’t have many morning worship services on its schedule, so this was a special treat. The adult choir started the program off with a very spirited “Let the Rocks Keep Silent” and then they sang with Greater Vision [...]

Dr. Charles Stanley has now completed forty years of ministry with First Baptist Church of Atlanta. In recognition of that exceptional milestone, the church celebrated with a series of events during the month of September, with each week of September focusing on a portion of what they called “Footprints of a Journey.” The name [...]

This is the 4th year (I think) that they have had this pre-convention opening concert and the crowd has grown every year. Highlights of the [...]

This year it also included the Crist Family and Archie Watkins. Leading off was Archie Watkins. He seems to be doing quite [...]

On May 21, 2009, Greater Vision made their annual visit to the Rome Civic Center. Opening the concert was Kirk Ayers, a Rome native who used to sing with a group named First Impression that was well-known to the local folks. Kirk sang 8 songs, mostly with a country feel to them, and he did a good [...]

About 700 people gathered Saturday night to wish Jason Waldroup a very fond farewell from his position as Greater Vision tenor and to show him their support of the next part of his journey to further his education and serve as a minister of music. And the people came from all over the United States [...]

On May 19, I went to a concert featuring Greater Vision and three soloists. The concert was hosted by soloist Greg Lockridge, who was recording a live video yesterday evening. He brought in Greater Vision and the other soloists to help draw a good audience. (The plan worked; I’d estimate attendance at 400 to 600.) [...]
